tourist

Ugh... It's 6am and I've been up since 3am, and yesterday it was 1am-4am... I'll probably have just enough time to get over my jet lag before heading off into another time zone. My nervous system is buzzing from all the stimulation.

I was having a hard time getting a sense of London as a whole, so I spent the day as a tourist and took the bus around. I started at Victoria Station and hopped on until the bottom of Regents Park where I got off, stomped through Queen Mary's flower garden, then wandered down along Marlybone High Street to Oxford, skipped over to Bond Street, then to Saville Row and Regents Circle to Haymarket before jumping back on the bus for the rest of the city. It was a bit overwhelming after the first 2/3 of the tour, but I did have a better sense of orientation and character by the end.

I haven't really mentally processed everything I saw so this will be more of a slide show...
